Former Resident of Stamford Died in San Francisco
<br>Mrs. Frances Maynard Ford died in San Francisco, August 16, 1943, after an illness of a year. Interment with committal services was made at Delhi, Sunday, August 22d at 2 p.m., with Rev. Jackson A. Martin, rector of [[St. John's Episcopal Church]] in charge. She is survived by two daughters, Mrs. [[Lucy Harris]] and [[Louisa Ford]], of San Francisco, and a son, [[Isaac Maynard Ford|Maynard Ford,]] of Fitchburg, Mass. 

She was a native of Stamford, daughter of Isaac H. Maynard, who owned the house on Delaware street now that of Dr. J.G. Simmons. Her father served both as Delaware county judge and supreme court justice and was among the state's most prominent jurists. He was a member of the Stamford Board of Education in 1889. 

On February 26, 1903, Miss Maynard married David Ford and they resided in Stamford for some time, at one time owning the Cottage Hotel, and also the cottage on Ford Hill now the property of A. Carrabillo. They left Stamford a number of years ago. Mrs. Ford had lived in Portland, Me., and New York City until she moved to the west coast about three years ago. She had been a frequent visitor to Stamford and to Delhi, the home of her mother's people, the [[Charles Augustus Marvine|Martin]] family [findagrave;193172349].
