'''Melissa Mendes''' is currently a student at the [http://cartoonstudies.org/ Center for Cartoon Studies] in White River Junction, VT.  She was an intern at the Main Street Museum 4 summers ago, and now she's back.  With more skills.  You can read her blog and look at some of her drawings [http://www.mmmendes.com/ here].  Recently as an intern she has taken photos of tiny shoes, arranged buttons in a drawer, and placed flocked pets on dried leaves.
