===A Few Words About Our Cheese Class and Yom Kippur by Wendy M. Levy===

So, we planned our fabulous cheese event for Yom Kippur. 

Oy.  This is what happens when you give the Bad Jew (me) and the even worse Episcopalian (David Fairbanks Ford) a Gregorian calendar and a Hebrew calendar and expect they will cross-reference them when planning an event.

We don't want to exclude our Jewish friends, even the ones who observe the High Holidays and go to temple.  It's not their fault we feel sort of embarrassed because we do neither of those things. 

Again, Bad Jew, worse Episcopalian. 

The Episcopalian considers himself to be something of a "Semi-Semite" however, has agreed to be our Shabbos goy, even for our Gentile guests.
We promise there will be no anointing with oil, and both of us will refrain from wearing leather pants that night.  And if you want to be a Bad Jew with us and sneak out of temple early, we won't tell on you.  (We do not judge.  We eat cheese.)
Please treat us, and the Museum, with rakhmones (or accept our Yiddish "mea culpas"). And if you feel inclined, observe the day of atonement -- with or without cheese. 

Other than that, we're not really sure how we could atone for our error, because in the vaudevillian spirit, the show must go on.
