Frederick P. Foote was a Major in New York's 13th Militia Regiment, War of 1812. [War of 1812 Service Records, fold3, retrieved 2020.] He is listed as Brigadier General Foote [Abbatt, Crisis of the Revolution, 1899, and New York Militia Officers, Register of officers terminated prior to Jan. 1858]
