Piece of Wood. Fir or Spruce. Mid-20th century. Slightly dusty. 22 x 16 x 34 cm.
Stand-in for the 'Splinter Of Wood from the Dartmouth Stadium Goal Post from the famous Dartmouth-Yale (American style) football game in 1935. (Dartmouth Realia, box I, item 19 gift of Mr. F. B. Tucker ’36 Kennebunk, Me.) Substitute created by the Main Street Museum to the dimensions of the original.
