A Significant Project, Awaiting Input
The Main Street Museum has a number of artifacts in its collection of Native American origin or significance. As funding and staff time becomes available these objects will be cataloged, interpreted, and appropriate displays created for them. In this cause, the general public is invited to join us in both artifact collection and interpretation. Both volunteer and Museum staff activity will create an initiative that forges new meanings and associations with a subject that really has only begun to be historically—and emotionally—embraced by Americans of all backgrounds.
